Traditional

Traditional worship begins at 10.15 a.m. each Sunday in the church and lasts for 40 minutes.

The format includes hymns, usually from the Methodist songbook Hymns & Psalms; Prayers; Bible readings and a sermon. Every 4-6 weeks the service will include Holy Communion and then we run over time, but that’s how it goes!

All ages are welcome to the
service, though it’s usually the
adults that appreciate the
quieter and more formal style
most.

  The congregation sit in pews
and there is sound equipment
and a hearing loop for those
who need it.

There is good disabled access and toilets and we have removed a few pews so those in wheelchairs can sit within the body of the church.

After the service, most people go to the hall for refreshments and fellowship.

  Family worship follows.
